We call these culls cause we dont need them breeding the does I personally think you are doing a disservice to your son, the deer and probably over 90% of the hunters that will never see nor take a deer that good by calling it a cull.

We call these culls cause we dont need them breeding the does I personally think you are doing a disservice to your son, the deer and probably over 90% of the hunters that will never see nor take a deer that good by calling it a cull. Its all about where you hunt. I hear guys say the hill country has tiny little basket racked deer, but yet I know a few LF ranches where they take 150's every year, yet been on some ranches with a 150min
Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, b/c they know not victory nor defeat"- #26 TR

That's what I'd say too. Mgt deer = biggest mature deer that doesnt count toward your trophy limit

We call these culls cause we dont need them breeding the does Is it high fence? Just wondering bc ive never seen a big 10 be called a cull. I can see certain HF ranches that wouldnt want this deer. Still wouldnt call it a cull if my young son shot it

Yes its a hf and we didnt see the crab claw on the left side until he was down.yes I no hes a trophy to most but my buddy manges this ranch and they call these deer culls and dont want there genetic es in the breeding program. We watch 180/195 inch deer walk by cause me and my son cant shoot them.
Im just glad to no so many awesome ranchers with places like this to teach my kids how to hunt.once again hog removal payed off again.
