Yeah we do that to see when we need to set it to get a bunch. 160 lbs on the deer on the hoof.

Man I feel like throwing up, I can't believe I just let that happen. One of the biggest bucks I've seen out here for sure. Been a while since I've got the shakes

Are you by that high fence place

no,,,,, I have no idea where that is

It's north of Moro mountain. East of Bradshaw. Not seeing much west of Lawn. But I hear a bunch of duck hunters around me.

We hunt 15 miles south of Merkel (Mulberry Canyon). Lots of does and young bucks. We do have a mature 6 point that needs to come off. Haven't seen the Aoudad ram again since it showed up on a game camera the weekend before opening day of rifle season.

coffee spelled backwards is eeffoc. I don't give eeffoc until I have my morning coffee.

hunting this morning and saw nothing.
We even tried rattling

I am two miles from the nearest wheat fields

I saw 3 doe in the wheat on the way out.

The hogs have made their way back though, they tore up my salt block and cleaned out both feeders.

once I get one more deer in the freezer, it's hog killin' time.

I loaded up a special box of Winchester Power Points for them this week

The 11 point that my wife shot this morning came in to rattling last night and this morning. I saw the same buck a couple days ago, and he seemed to be looking for love.

I haven't seen anything yet either, but I checked the pics I got last night.....new buck that I have never got a picture of before. He's a 3 year heavy 6 that needs to go. His hocks are pretty black. Also got a pic of the buck I'm hunting this year. He usually comes in after midnight, but was at the corn pile by 9:15 last night. His hocks a dark, but not as black as the 6. Heading back to denton in the morning to finish lining the guys out for the week and I'll be back in the stand by Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning.

I have not seen much moving during the day. I have a few night pictures but it seems the deer are not really hitting my feeders much yet. I had a pretty good acorn crop and I think they are really just eating acorns and such. I did hunt Friday afternoon and had a narrow 10 point walk out and hang out at the feeder. It is not a trophy but was very nice in my book so I took it for my one deer a year that I take. It is on to hog hunting for me. Hopefully I will have decent hogs the next few weeks. He was not rutting or chasing any does yet but his hocks were very dark so I think he was very close to going into the rut. Best of luck to all of you in the area. I will keep checking back to see what yall get.

I hunt the Bradshaw and the Escoba. We had a buck breed a doe at the Escoba on 11-2. They are chasing hard on our two places.
