Why do people insist on putting pictures of obvious shooter bucks and ask an obvious question of "should I shoot this bro, not sure if he is good enough"?

"trophy" buck, aka shooter buck is in the eye of the beholder. Some are perfectly happy to shoot just legal bucks that are 2.5yrs old, and they are excited to have one down and meat in the freezer, others are after giants and let deer like the pic above walk all day in search of bigger or in favor of their management program. Sorry but I am never asking approval to shoot an obvious shooter, that the large majority of folks on here would probably give their paycheck to shoot! it’s a little vain if you ask me. that’s a great buck, good age and nice horns...but regardless, do YOU like it, and if so, and you get the chance at it, freakin shoot it and post the pics of your trophy for us all to congratulate you on! People will critique a deer on cam all day, but I see very few ever argue if it was a shooter after LDP's are posted, nothing but congratulations at that point, as it should be.

I never asked if I should shoot him now did I? I just wanted to see what some of the more seasoned trophy hunters thought about the buck.

I say post whatever you want if I don't like the title or bored with the particular subject I move to the next one.

Just a thought if everyone got along on here, never locked horns, never cracked jokes, never took marginal shots at others this would be just another boring hunting forum. Some of the funniest stuff I've seen on here is fighing over the whole HF thing(i know way off topic).

I say shoot it.

I wouldn't shoot that deer he's not old enough. Now if all you had were 3.5 year old 110" deer then shoot away or lease another another spot. There are tons of hunters who shoot young deer than bitch because they NEVER see 5.5 year old 150' deer. You must let the young ones (4.5 and under)walk if you want a monster and I know it's a hard thing to do but it came be done. Now some of that does depend on how big of a place you are hunting on and what's around you.

depends on where your lease is and what is the norm for the area...regardless...I'm no expert but I think that's a really good looking buck..

sometimes....this message board is down-right entertaining and I really appreciate the banter...makes for a nice break during my day.
