I had TC encore in 308 I was thinking about getting rid of to buy my wife
a rifle. Let her handle it and she liked the feel of it. Let her shoot it and she shot it well. After she killed her first buck, I had the skull and the stock dipped.

She wants the AR for the accessories ...

honestly i think the best thing to do is get her the gun she wants, but start her out shooting something much smaller and let her work up to the recoil she needs.

get the the AR now so she doesn't loose interest.

Do not pre judge or hamper her because if she were male you'd not think twice. It's much harder to get the "Barbie-Doll" from a lady's mind once they believe they are less than capable. Hence so many wish to own handguns that look good rather than perform well.

Get her an AR in 6.8. She can kill just about anything with it and if you reload the bullet choices are plentiful.

TIKKA T3 with a stainless barrel in 7MM-08. Put a big Zeiss (or other good glass) on top and have a muzzle brake installed. It will be great!!

My wife settled on the 6.8 in an AR platform. She can dress it up however she wants , low recoil and not bad in the accuracy department,
