I am trying to think of the best low cost, portable blind design. Have come up with much so far. I could use some suggestions. Pics would help greatly. Thanks

PVC. Wire and corn stalks or other like material.
Weave natural vegetation between 3 to 4 strands of wire. Think like bar wire fence and t post roll up and go.

Do you assemble the pvc in the field or transport it put together? Also, about how much will the parts run me?

Use the fiberglass electric fence post along with some camo netting. Put the stakes in the ground, hang the net, add some brush, your done. Very light, easy to carry, roll the stakes up in the net.I keep mine in a folding chair bag.

I build a 5x3x3 PVC blind for about $15 and the burlap was $12. Disassembled all the long pieces and rolled them in the burlap, assemble in the field. ![](http://i1283.photobucket.com/albums/a560/BerettaOnyx/870C431F-7224-43B7-B100-C5EAF69827AF-56613-00000AD7C57B212D_zps17f90d1f.jpg)

Chicken wire stuffed with natural vegetation and a couple pieces of rebar to make it stand up. The chicken wire rolls right up and is easy to carry and light. Get the thinnest rebar you can find to make that lighter. Boom you have a blind.

If you use PVC, I would consider spray painting it- either camo, black, or earth tone

Yes paint the PVC, I painted mine green, then the mud blends it right in.

so are these PVC blinds better than a layout blind? Not for me, that's the reason I got a layout, but they are way cheaper and will hide more than one person for the hunter that only tags along once it twice a year (wife) and not worth buying another layout.

I wouldn't mind that at all, I'd love for her to go with me and I'd buy her everything if she enjoyed it.

My wife is hunting with me this year. But it must be a exception cause I'm getting to build me a small duck boat so I don't have to carry her stuff also.

You can get a section of cattle fence and use zip ties to attach shadow grass to it.

LTMFH, What kind of plastic fencing is that and where did you get it? What do you tie on the grass with. Finally, how do you get in it? I am guessing it fits one person?
