Building this for our member Grayson to bow hunt out of. His plan is to strap it to a tree as well as anchor it to the ground along with stakes in each leg. Deck height will be right around 17', with 6" of adjustment on each foot. Deck dimensions are roughly 44" across.

A little higher and he can also offer parachute training.

Leg pockets are 2.25" 12 gauge, I am going to add a gusset to them as well just for peace of mind.

Plasma makes quick work of gussets, they are 2"x1/4" flat strap.

I added a spot to snug it up against the tree along with some tie down points. All that's left are the legs, they will most likely have to wait until Monday as I'm leaving tmw for Tennessee.

That's insane. Fine work, too.

You gonna coat it with something like bedliner to deaden noise and provide grip?

Wasn't planning on it, I usually go with brown tractor enamel unless they ask for something different.

Are you doing anything for a chair? That is some great welding work. Always love to see good welds, it soothes the soul. Wish I had more time for stuff like this. What would it cost to build two or maybe three of these for me?

For the chair I'm doing a bolt on boat seat pedestal on this one. As for building more, that's something I would def consider once I get into my new shop next month
