I got back this week from hunting in Terlinga with JustCUZ from here. We were headed out after free range aoudad. This is a hunt I have wanted to do for a long time .

We were very lucky to have temps in the 70's with light sprinkling rain the 1st couple of days.

We were set up in a basic but comfortable camp. Had 3 rv's with outdoor kitchen shack and cooked over fire.

Matt and nick both worked hard for us to make sure we were comfortable and ensure we had a good time.

We were hunting in some beautiful yet rugged country right outside of big bend.

On the 1st evening my friends father was the 1 st shooter. Matt got him on a great ram. After a couple of shots we thought all were misses. The crazy thing that happened was we found the ram dead 2 days later. Bad cape but great ram none the less.

The next morning we split up two of us went with Matt and the other two still hunted some cliffs.

Julio and I went with Matt and a couple of hours after daylight we caught up with a group of aoudad. There were a few shooters in the group. We were in a good position elevated high above the herd.

We crawled to the cliff ledge and Julio was to shoot the ram on the right and mine was on the left. We ended up shooting at the same time. Both of our 1st couple if shots were misses. Not the best shooting but luckily we were able to calm down and both get a good shot on our ram before they ran off the cliff.

After we got the aoudad's caped out and in the truck it was after 12:00. We headed to pickup the other two in our group.

The 1st thing I noticed as I pulled up was bloody hands. Then I looked at Jr and saw the giant horns hanging off his back.

Jr ended up taking a giant. Over 31 in horns but had huge mass all the was to the tips. Jr's ram ended up being the largest ever taken off this ranch. They have had longer horns but not with that mass.

It was a pleasure, Cale. Your whole group was a blast! When we hunt again, I'll trade ya some earmuffs for some jerky!

That last ram has a great set of chaps on him, this hunts on my list for sure and maybe can pull it off next year if Africa gets bumped to 2015. Congrats on some great trophies.
