Well I will say that it has fired light dove loads flawlessly, and I have had one shell that didn't eject! I have been very pleased with it! I wanted the 3 1/2 inch cause you never no when you may need it. I still will shoot 3 inches but like the option of 3 1/2. I would highly recommend this gun!

I LOVE mine - hunted with all last season and the only time a shell didn't eject was when I didn't have it tucked tight to my shoulder. I wouldn't shoot anything else - GREAT GUN!!

Picked up this exact gun for my dad yesterday in Houston. He had been looking around in San Antonio for weeks and wasnt able to find one. If anyone in the Houston area is still interested in this gun I found 2 at gander mountain in Houston and i think there is still one more at the bass pro in Katy. Havent shot it yet but seems like an awesome machine. Hopefully my pops can hammer some teal with it this weekend!

I bought one in Houston yesterday as well. Got a all black 3" 30" barrel...long I know but I'm pretty tall and it swings nice.

I've been really curious to read reports after people have been using them for a couple of seasons. When I finally retire my 870 (probably after this season) I have my eyes on an A5.

I have heard mixed reviews. I tried one, and it is a sweet handeling gun. But, my uncle has already sent 2 back that would not eject. He is on #3, and loves it.

I would think they would function fine. The new Auto 5 is just a Benelli knockoff and the Benelli shotguns have been doing well.
The retro Auto 5 uses the Browning version of the Benelli Kinematic Drive system. It is a short inertia rather than the long recoiling barrel of the original. The hump is not needed. It is just for looks. Well other than maybe providing a longer sight plane.

Very nice.

I have shot my uncles and it does handle nicely.

Shoulders without effort for me.

He looked for the 30"

Ended up with the MOSGB 28" with 3.5" chamber.

I know they don't stay on shelves very long.

Enjoy.

Happy that you got something you like. Can always use the extra 1/2 inch and if the recoil doesn't bother you and the cost is in your budget then wonderful. I knew a fellow that shot a 10 ga Ithaca for dove, had a special flyway he liked, and he enjoyed every minute. I think some people are just a tad jealous that you got something they would love to have.
