I zero everything at 100. Most everything Ive shot has been from 40 yards to to 120 with the longest shots being 175 and 225. 175 was a feral cat and 223, no issues compensating and the 225 was a pig with a 222, still no prob compensating without bdc or turrets.

I don't shoot far though so it works fine for me.

For years my .30-06 had a 100 yard zero. About two years ago I put a new scope on it, got it sighted to 50 yards, and then was interrupted. It's still sitting at 50 yards. I keep saying I'm going to move it to 100, but there's really not a need. Most of my hunting is for pigs in brush, so 50 yards is good. The one time I took it on a deer hunt I just memorized the drop for 150, 175, and 200 yards, and then ended up killing a spike at 115, so the difference wasn't enough to matter.

My wife's new .25-06 has a 100 yard zero.

The 270, .30-06, and .22-250 all set for 200; the .30-30 set for 100. And of course the .50cal Knight Rifle is always set for 200 yds.

90% of the time MBPR. I also have a couple sighted in at 50 that I use in brushy areas with limited shooting lanes

I zero at 100 and then dial my elevation from there.

Don't know what MRD is, but if its max point blank range, that's what I do except for my scope with a MOA turret.

Can anyone recommend a place near DFW to shoot further than 100 yds? That's the longest range I've been able to find.

Top Gun in Leonard, Hwy 121 east from Hwy 75 north of McKinney. Google for map and directions. Up to 500 yard range available.

So if you zero your left and right at 400 you can almost take the spin drift out of the equation. you will be a little left out to 400 and a little right after that. Thats what I do with my guns but we shoot a of deer in the 700 yard range so it helps.

700? Are you kidding me?
btw, I sight mine in at 200.

25 yard zero has kept me on at 300 yrd for my .243 and about 285 yrds for my 30.06. The longest shot i'll have to make is 75 yrds.

Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.
