Black is the purest form and if you look at most of the grand champions are black, most likely just from genetics not really color. The biggest difference in personality is the British lines vs American lines. Brits were bred to be calm and Americans for speed, size this generally a more high strung dog.

Go look at the AKC grand champs of the past.If I remember right there has only been 1 or 2 that were chocolate. I've never hunted witha grand champion dog but I have hunted with yellows, blacks, and chocolates and as far as I'm concerned they are great dogs in each color and there are bad dogs in each color. I think though a dog is only as good as the training it receives.

I have a 2yr old Choco and Iv sent him.to a school dor retriving and I have worked with him and I just wasted money. Love the dog but I think him and his sister where the odd balls of the litter

Looking for a girl friend for him aswell

Full of energy and when he runs he runs

Iv never had a lab look as small.as him and lean hes full blood cause I have his papers. Any one know what line he possibly is?
