I was looking for what day holloween fell on and it is friday. then noticed nov 1st is saturday. I checked my hunting season sheet and Oh my god. Holloween is friday and opening day is saturday. So going trick-a-treating friday night then head to the lease.

How are you going to work it?

Daughter is hunting opening day reckon she can go trailer to trailer in camp dressed as a huntress and trick or treat in camp. LOL

Same here will be heading out after taking my little elmo out. I was going to go out Thursday night bow hunt Friday and then bow hunt again Sat and Sun but wife said I don't think so. So I will be getting to camp late Friday. I would rather see the joy in my sons eyes than sitting around the lease.

No trick-or-treating this year. My two oldest are off at college, and the youngest will be playing in the band at a high school ballgame. I'll be headed to the lease as soon as I drop her off at school Friday morning.

Me and my 6 year old son will be in a deer blind...looking at what we hopefully will shoot the next morning.

I'm not really sure how I'm gonna do it. (I have a 5 year old Daddy's girl) I think I may just drive out Saturday afternoon.

My buddy and I have been talking about this for weeks, my oldest is 5, she is hunting with me opening morn, we are going to a fall fest at the church the wedsday before and driving to madisonville to spend the night and hunt, we're not tellin her the actual day is when shes supposed to trick or treat....and the next time it happens she'll be to old I think....my bud is going to the lease after T or T but he's only an hour out, he was sayin he wished they would move hunting season back a week and end a week late because of it...I told him to get off the CrAcK

We have been invited to halloween party that night. May sllep all day friday then head out about midnight that night and get to the lease around 4:30 or 5. Have to see what the wife says. She may not want me driving that late. May end up leaving like at 2 and getting there at 6:30.

Me and my 10 year old do a haunted house at our house for the trick/treaters every year. So I'll probably wrap that up about 9:30-10, shove everything in the garage, then haul a$$ out to the lease, and probably get there about 12:30-1 am.

well plans have changed that quick. I found out today that daughter has district vball tourney saturday(opening day). I guess I will either head out after that or go the next weekend. Oh well glad they have a long season more opportunities.

Mines 13, i asked him what he wanted to do, ya'll know what he said? you can go trick or treating, im going to the Deer lease if i have to ride with Poepoe (grandad). Just like his ole Man, rather be in the deer woods than anywhere.

I have already told my wife that I will wish her and the kids a Happy Halloween on Friday morning. I have already scheduled the day off of work and will be at the lease by noon on Friday.

Yeah, I know that is early, but I am going to be so pumped up I want to be there way ahead of time and make sure everything is good to go.

No kids here, so I do not need to explain what I will be doing!!!

I have two girls....11 and 4....Lease partener #1 has two boys and a girl...12, 10 and 8....lease partner #2 has tow boys and a girl...10 8 and 2....you do the freakin math. We will be rolling into the lease about 1:00 a.m.

Think i'll go watch a little HS Football, it always gets me pumped up for opening weekend. Standing on the fence talking to all the other hunters about what they've seen and how ready they are for opening weekend.

just going to camp, maybe if i hold my cup out and say trick or treat, TCH will poor some whiskey in it.

Well dads B-day is on halloween, so I am sure we will get to the lease early, cook something and knock a few back.

ha i am really screwed! the wifes birthday is on halloween, my two daughters will get to go trick or treating then i have to take momma out......maybe i can get her sauced up and passed out then sneak out.....hmmmm.....

Opening weekend was back in September................no kids (wouldnt go beg for candy even if I had some) so I will be in my bowstand friday enjoying the last hunt without having to hear gunshots going off...........

Mine is 11 and has already started packing so we can leave about noon on Friday. He has never liked trick or treating says it's for little kids and would rather be with me in the woods (or in our case in the lake)

I have 2 boys (soon to be) 8 & 4 year olds. Both B-days are just a day before Halloween. They are staying home this year and doing the Halloween thing w/ their mom and my sister. I will be at the lease late Thursday night and probably play some golf that Friday (tradition we have had).

Yep were in the same situation with our girls. There will be other night before opening days. How many more years are the girls gonna want to go trick or treating. Deer season is 3 months long for most folks but Halloween is only one night.
