I love the 6.5 my favorite caliber of all time. I build a lot of them. Kicks like a 243 with BC like a 7 mag. I have shot deer out to 800 yards with it no problem with factory 129 SST.

This video has a whitetail buck kill at 345 a doe at 535 and a doe at 736 with one I built.
Here is a picture of one I just finished on a Remington 700 platform If you are looking for one that I will guarantee 1/2 moa This one is for sale and I will be at the San Antonio gun show this weekend.

Saw that you did not want synthetic I can put it in a new stock if you like.
This has the remington 700 action blueprinted, and the barrel is a Benchmark barrel that I contoured, fluted and hand lapped.

Sorry Horizon but I am interested in a hunting rifle...can't afford the setup you build. Looks awesome though!

Guys, I've looked at Cabellas and Bass Pro and neither carry the 6.5 Creedmoor...did you have them order it for you?

I got my Savage from sportingarms.com here in Lewisville. Ordered it on Monday and picked it up Wednesday. I couldn't find anyone who would/could order it and I tried them all.

Then give me your 260 brass, since you don't want it.

OP, there's really no different in performance of the .260 vs. the 6.5 Creedmore. Their DOPE charts look identical. They shoot the same bullet, with the same powder, and the same primer, out of a 6.5 mm barrel. There's just a slight difference in brass geometry. That being said, I shoot a .260 and am married to it. It's a hell of a long range round, and it's killed bobcat, coyote, big hog and deer. Once my current .260 barrel is done, I'll have the next one threaded and chambered, and go again, as long as I can shoot a rifle.

The .260, 6.5 Creedmore, and 7mm-08 are the best short action cartridges in existence for long range shooting as well as medium sized game killing ability, in my opinion.

Jason, don't overlook the 6XC either

Shoot me a pm with your budget and let me see if I can work with you on that one or build one in your budget. Give me a shot at it. I do build hunting rifles smile they are just really accurate hunting rifles. Comes in handy when you need to make a long shot. That one is already blue printed, bedded, trigger job, and a hand lapped bench mark barrel.

The 6XC and the creedmoor are almost the same but best thing with the creedmoor is you can get really good factory ammo.

It's an exceptional round. I'm going to have one built or a 6mm Creedmoor built for my daughter to use when she gets older.

I have an AA 6.5 Grendel on my AR and a 6.5 Creedmoor. My Creedmoor is a Savage 11 or 111 I can't remember.I have threaded the barrel and have a muzzle break on it now. It is a tack driver with little recoil and little muzzle rise. The 6.5 calibre is one of my favorites.

I have a Savage 10 Predator Max One 6.5 Creedmoor topped with a Zeiss 3.5-10 Rapizd Z 600

It's an absolute tac driver. I have shot 8-10 pigs and an axis for with it so far with 130 Berger VLDs and they have performed exceptional
