Was going to be out of town unable to hunt, so I never lined anything up for the opener. But those plans changed. Probably take my son dove hunting at my deer lease out by Graham on the 1st and 2nd. Then hunt some public land near DFW on the 3rd. Unless I find some exceptional hunting on the 3rd, I will head back out to my deer lease for an evening hunt on the 4th. Then hunt Stompy's place at breckenridge on the 5th. Did some retrieving work with Mr. Dash today to keep him polished up for the coming season. Can't wait. I still like the pic of Blaze with dove in mouth

I'll be in Bartlett for the central opener and most days of the season. Be in Arnekeville for the south zone opener and probably for the second split. I will be hunting in Bartlett also. How have the birds been flying in your area? They've been thick here in Georgetown. I'll be swinging by the lease on Saturday to see for myself but I've been told they're there.

Alamo tx, in private property that we don't own (only for dove), just like 90% of the hunters in deep south Texas.

I'll be hunting at some family property out near Walburg.

Central Zone - Hewitt Texas Close to you, Robinson, just south of Waco. Been seeing good numbers on the cornfields around me.

North Zone, I'll be north of Merkel about 10 miles. You'll be about 10 mile north of me then? Lots of ringnecks, mourning, and whitewing doves are starting gather every evening on the electine lines by my house at the north city limits of Merkel
