If you have too many deer, I'd definitely shoot him (assuming you have good doe:buck ratios).

Guess I will be the bad guy here, but my opinion is, they are all to young to judge. I would give them another year to assess their potential. From the older buck pics you posted, the young stuff may turn out to be just as good, given the opportunity! I agree with this , by the pics of the other deer there I'd say you have some good stuff going on and let them walk one more year.

So how old is the ugly one? I'd venture to say just a yearling, but would like to see a few other pictures to confirm.

Where are you located? I would let him walk, he is young and will do no breading. if his is bad next year shoot him. At our ranch in george west we never shoot spikes and we have very very few cull bucks and we shoot a lot of 150-190s. People do not resize that you can have late fawns that take a few years to catch up. And we are in a bad drought that has really hurt the deer. My 2 cents

If those spike bucks can't do any better than that with eating protein they need to be culled out.

Walk, a spike may not always be a piece of junk! I've watched yearling spikes turn into 150 five year olds. Check him next year at 2 then decide!!!!
