I just know when they made the change two or three years ago, I was happy with the new format getting away from the teal tags that you had to tear off to attach to each duck. The new card system is much more user friendly.  Under the texas teal card treaty we can shoot wood ducks!!

I did something very smart a few years back...I actually got the lifetime teal tag license. I tell you it sucks putting all that money down at once but now I'm glad I did....I hear the tags are going up in price next year and with the increase in limit...the lifetime license is really paying off now! I think I'll be just about broke even next year...then profit! The only PIA is I still have to request them...at least they not free to me. Kind of like the sandhill crane permit...it's free but you still have to request it.
Dear Lord please bullwhip me for saying this but I agree, Marcstar is in the lead. Please nobody use this as a quote!!!

Do not ask for them when you buy your license. Do not call TPWD and inquire about them. They do not exist. It is an old joke. Oh my....thank you for this. If i read one more teal tag comment.... I'm sorry. I guess the curiosity was killing me. I wanted to know what would come after "....." I promise. No more teal tag from me. Till next year.
