I acquired two SxS double barrel shotguns today. One of which is a Remington 1889 which I will never fire but am wondering if anyone around here knows where I can find replacement parts for it.According to the SN is was produced pre-1900. It would make a good addition to my office but would love it if I could get it looking brand new again or close to it. The other is an old New York Arms DB 12ga and parts for that are impossible to find and besides the hammers on the Remington look awesome!

Unfortunetly someone has chopped the barrels down on the Remington, they didnt make them that short. Parts will be hard to come by, but check Numrich, ebay, gunbroker, etc...

I would not do a thing to change the patina or age on either of those. They look perfect as they are.

http://www.gunpartscorp.com/

This is the "go to" place for old parts. If they don't have it, keep checking back. Their stock changes all the time.
