My girlfriend, Son and I headed out to the lease yesterday to fill the protein feeder fix the protein pen and check on the other feeders and stands. Well the day was going great fixed one feeder that wasn't working, put up one game cam. I just finished fixing the pen around the protein feeder. I wanted to drive in a T-Post to set up my last game cam over the protein feeder. Well I set up the post and started giving it a few whacks with the T-Post driver and started going faster trying to hurry so I could still take the Girl and Son shooting some pistols and by the lake on the way home. Well about the 10th whack with the driver I pulled up to high and hit the top of the tpost bringing the tpost driver on my head. I go to my knees with blood gushing from my head. I look over and my girlfriend doesn't even know whats going on she is taking pictures with her phone. while im holding my head and blood running down my face. I say hey im bleeding over here. Anyways to make a long story short the day ended there with a 30 minute drive to the nearest hospital. No stitches needed just a lot of rags and good scrubbing on my clothes.

Head wounds bleed like there's no tomorrow, even if they're not serious. With the large amount of blood, they seem pretty bad.

Sorry for your misadventure. Glad you ended up OK. The lease can be a dangerous place sometimes.

Yeah... that hurts.. long stroking a t post drivers never end well.

Glad your injury wasn't worse. Deer leases can be very dangerous places to work, especially once you add in all the heavy equipment and tools we often bring and use.

I did the same thing last year on the farm while building fence. Only this was a driver my dad made from 2 7/8 pipe and a 8lb piece of cold roll steel. Broke 3 teeth and left a good scar on my noggin.

pineapple juice will get the blood out of your clothes. Glad you're ok, and don't do that again.

Exact same thing happened to a friend of mine. Knocked him pretty good and he got 13 stitches in the head, and a concussion. Fortunately I was there, he had been planning on going by himself. To this day I still remind everybody to slow down and take a little shorter stroke when driving posts. And keep your head back!

Same thing happened to me two years ago... Hurts like hell and bleeds even worse! My brother thought it was funny though... Hope it heals up quick!
