Now I am confused after reading this thread. What again is the terms Jeff. Thank You in advance

me too...thought $75 was applied to the # fee...would be fee + $15 for the overage on the # amnt (120 lbs X .75 = 90 -75 = $15 additional).

Did you pay $90 total, or $165 total for the 120 lb hog?

Another Math word problem confused2

Son and father (Two hunters) $75 x 2 = $150.00
One hunter shoots a 120 # hog = 90.00 less $75 credit = $15

Total paid $165.00

Sounds right to me. clap

OR

Hunter one pays $75.00 and shoots nothing
Hunter two pays $75.00 and shoots 120# hog owes $15.00 more
Total $165.00. banana2

I got clarification from Jeff and Sheephunter has it right. I paid for my hog, Dad paid his deposit and can use it toward a future hunt since he didn't take a shot.

Makes sense to me now and we will definitely be back.

Sorry for the delay. I just saw this thread was active again.

SheepHunter has it exactly right. We do charge per hunter, per gun. I got a call yesterday from someone who wants his wife to tag along and watch. I wouldn't charge anything for her as a second (unless you put a gun in her hand). I would suggest they put a camera in her hand and record the hunt.

I apologize for any confusion on wording any of my posts have caused. If the per gun, per hunter fees wasn't clear than I probably need to revise the original post. We are trying this per pound thing and seeing how it goes. The last thing I want is for anyone to think we treated them wrong or did any type of bait and switch on them. I really want anyone who has questions/concerns/problems with their experience to reach out to me, if there is any confusion, so we can try and make it right. I have worked for a large hotel company for almost 25 years and have been hard-wired to worry about customer experience. Thanks for the email last night Shawn and I hope we can get your dad out again soon and get him on a pig.

Our operation isn't big and fancy, we only have 12 setups right now and are only really using (4) of them this time of year. We try to focus on the experience and offering the best value at a competitive price. We are in the process of adding a small cabin that will be available. We had a lot of hunters in the spring who stayed in hotels up the road or tent camped.

Also, I put this out there before... I don't charge for 16 and under youth with a paid hunt. (1) paid hunt and (1) 16 and under youth can hunt no charge for (1) pig harvest. Really think it is important to get the kiddos hunting. The youth can hunt in a different setup if they have hunter safety certification.

Thanks again for all the questions and interest.

Jeff

Jeff don't feel bad I had a customer ask me if a column I was going to install was a solid one piece column. I said yes.

After it was installed customer called and said the column was not a solid piece it had a hole in the middle.

I had installed a one piece solid steel engineered pipe column.

Jeff,
What is the "average" cost of processing a, lets says, 150# hog and how much actual meat would you expect to get back?

Love you kid policy, if I book one this year, that will be the one thing that a HUGE selling point.

Preston and Jeff took me hunting one night while I was home visiting my folks. I am a native of Canton and currently liv stationed with the 101st Airborne Ft Campbell Ky. These two guys really put me on some great hogs and showed me a good time. If you ever want to experience a great hunt book with these two. I am looking forward to hunting with them again and will contact them everytime I am in the Canton. Outstanding service and Outstanding guys. You cant go wrong booking a hunt with them.

Someone probably responded already. Processing costs about $75. My 160 pound hog got me about 50 pounds of meat. Not bad. And tasted great!

Thanks for the positive feedback Drill Sergeant. Hope we can get you on some more pigs when you are in town again.

Thanks for answering that question Westhrush. I really need to check the forum a little more often. The local processor does do a good job. I am just about out of all my meats and will hopefully be using his services during deer season. I need to send a couple pigs his way for me too.

Thanks again.
