General Job Description:

Construction Estimator Including, but not limited to the following:


•Perform accurate take-offs by hand, utilizing Excel, architectural and structural plans and field measurements
•Prepare preliminary and final estimates of all material and labor costs for commercial remodel and repair in compliance with submittal deadline requirements
•Knowledge of metal framing, sheetrock, doors, frames, acoustical ceiling, and finish applications in commercial buildings.
•Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to clarify bid and scope requirements, generate and respond to RFIs, construction schedules and change orders
•Person to person contact with building managers, engineers, and owners to maintain positive professional relations with established clientele and ensure continual increase in new clients
•Must have the ability to coordinate multiple projects at the same time
•Must have the ability to bring clients upon hire.

Candidates Must Meet the Following Minimum Requirements:


•Proof of high school graduation or equivalent
•3 years verifiable experience in construction estimating and/or construction project management. Field experience in commercial high rise office remodeling is preferred
•Thorough knowledge of accurate plan reading and interpretation with attention to detail and ability to be proactive in problem solving
•Field experience is preferred but not necessary
•Excellent written, verbal, electronic and person to person communication skills
•Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel
•Ability to access job sites during all phases of construction
•Possess Texas driver license with good driving record
•Willingness to submit to drug tests and criminal background checks

Salary

The most qualified candidates will be contacted for an interview. The successful candidate's salary will be based on the candidate's relevant experience and skills. Candidate may include requirements with resume.

Looking for someone to repair an old deck and add an extension to it. I live in Richardson.
