you are probably one of those neighbors on the fence line scalebuster. Im not whining just don't like the thought of my mom, dad, nieces and nephews even having a small chance of being shot at. Not worth it to me. If he had his blind in a position not to shoot at a road where my nieces and nephews would be riding 4 wheelers and playing I wouldn't have posted this... Even a small chance is enough for me.

I got you know nj123, that is definitely a dangerous setup and I'd have real reservations about anyone hunting like that on adjoining property to me. I was thinking more of a parallel to the fenceline blind/feeder setup, not perpendicular and obviously shooting towards your place. Not safe and really dangerous looking.

Way to add something constructive to the post? You wouldn't happen to have a lease next to nj123 would you? up

I hear ya, I would first try and talk to him about it, helps if ya met the fella already..

If he agrees to move help the brother out and get him set up right, if possible.

If not and he tells ya to blow smoke, call GW and have him explain it.

I also believe there is a law called trespass by projectile and from the picture that has a definite possibility of happening, maybe ask GW or LEO about it, then have them explain it to the fine gentleman.

I went to profile and changed the settings where I get 50 post on a page, it keeps the page counts to a reasonable amount. clap

hard to prove, but if he shoots across your property line, he can be held criminally liable. will just have to see what happens. but your best bet is to try to talk with him.

Talk to them first, if they don't want to move, I would have to put a stand right behind his feeder on your side and take several pictures of the set up, then let the GW know about it.

You're gonna have to talk to the GW first. If you do anything at all your neighbor will call it hunter harassment and YOU will be the guilty party.

Not sure about your feeders but to the people on here suggesting you should just corn the road on your side of the fence or put an opposing feeder up on your side - wouldn't you then be bringing deer from well inside your property out to the fence line? The feeders work both ways! I would be he would be glad you started corning your fence line so that he could see some of your deer that he has not seen/had a chance to shoot before.

Rather have them set up their blind on the fenceline with them shooting into their own pasture than setting up the blind in the pasture and shooting back into my pasture.

His bullet cannot cross the property line. Contact the GW and he will take care of it. If you are leasing from the same owner you are sol unless the owner can talk to him.

As said above contact GW. He cannot legally shoot a deer at his feeder the way it is set up. So why would he want to leave it in that position unless he is planning to break the law. By criminal trespass by projectile.

Actually it is

Sec. 62.0121. DISCHARGE OF FIREARM ACROSS PROPERTY LINE. (a) In this section, "firearm" has the meaning assigned by Section 62.014(a).(b) A person commits an offense if:(1) the person, while hunting or engaging in recreational shooting, knowingly discharges a firearm; and(2) the projectile from the firearm travels across a property line.

and good luck proving it. You going to build some giant backstop or something and run over and check it after he shoots?

Given the number of posts that pop up concerning hunting near fence lines, I suspect dealing with feuding hunters is one of the most common headaches for TPWD officers.

Park your truck there as a backstop and leave the radio playing.

A mannequin dressed up in your clothes standing on your side of the fence. Set it up the night before opening day.
BTW, make sure the clothes are nice and smelly.
