Shot this duck in some flooded timber in East Texas. The bird came in with 5 or 6 wood ducks, I saw the green head and cut it.Im new to the forum and dont post much but thought you guys might like to take a look.I have seen other hybrids but never a mallard wood duck. Have yall ever seen anything like this ? Hunted in East Texas for years killed many mallards and woodies never came across anything like it just got the mount back hope yall enjoy. If the photos dont post i can text them to someone.

I got a buddy that shot one just like it 2 seasons ago. I'll see if I can find the pic.

Just read part where you said Timber. I've hunted flooded timber holes in E. TX now for about 10 years that produce Mallards and Woodies but, I've never seen a cross like that on a hunt. I saw one at a taxi's shop in Central LA several years ago. I shot a pintail/mallard cross 3 yrs ago in Alexandria, LA. It is currently with Birdworks Taxidermy. I can't wait to get it back.

The guy that mounted mine in Marshall had some pics of a pin mallard like yours that he did years ago, very cool bird man and I hunt on some private stuff around the tyler area and east texas and some public water.
