Totally depends on the intended purposes of each rifle...to hog hunt I would think and good AK would beat the AR due to bullet whallup...

Unless you want to drive q-tips through a pigs ear, then the AR will suit you better...

But why not have both? That's my philosophy, cuz when the SHTF, theres gonna be plenty of either round readily available, just depending on where you are and who is winning...

seems a little biased towards the AR, I like my ARs better but probably only because I've had a lot more seat time w/ that platform as opposed to an AK. AK is a fine weapon and I've killed many a hog with it as well as ARs

Alot of Maks have the dreaded slant cut receiver (two of mine did). I would get a Yugo M70 or an arsenal instead.

If you can find a milled receiver mak90.....thats a stout AK. Stock sucks, But you can fix that.

I am a die hard AR fan, but I just got a Yugo M92 SBR, I would probably take it if the balloons go up. Folded its silly small, and with a 10.5 inch barrel I am only loosing 100 FPS so basically getting full performance still.

Thats right. Dallas, was these, milled receivers? Ive heard it about the stamped. But havent read much about having a slant on the milled. then again, I only care to own AR's.

Not sure man, a Mak 90 was my first gun I purchased when I was 18. I was so dissapointed looking for furniture for it, Ironwood is the only game in town if its slant cut.

Milled may be fine though, good question.

I have an AK I purchased years ago when you could pick them up cheap. It has never been very accurate past 50 yards. At 50 yards getting a good grouping but move past 50 and it is spraying them all over the place. I hate getting rid of it because they have gone up in price. Now it just sits in the safe.
