No pictures of it, but dad called me last night and said that when he got home there was a doe with a fawn bedded down on the welcome mat on their front porch, literally against the front door. This is in west Guadalupe Co.

Saw one last weekend bedded down in someone's yard next to a chain link fence in Sattler (near Canyon Lake). When it saw me it got up and ran off.

Its pretty cool around here, the deer recognize yards that don't have dogs and come to have their fawns in them, its like a nursery, no predators, but this is the first time they have actually been on the porch.

None yet in Erath, that I've seen anyway. Should be any day now.

They pretty much all have dropped in Kendall county. Walking the bush I came across 4 single and 2 sets of twins.

I saw one on the east side of I-45 just north of Madisonville Tuesday morning at 11 am with its momma. They were walking along 20 feet from the road. I always see deer there at dusk. She was teaching it when it is safe to roam the woods. So cute I almost gave up hunting.

Won't be seeing any here in S.E. Louisiana until June.

But now is the time for all out war on coyotes. Do any of you guys get a bunch of snares out at this time of the year?

Almost ran over one running across the road in Palo Pinto county Friday afternoon. Looked to have the body size of my 30lb beagle...but much longer legs obviously.

My dogs killed one last Friday. It had just been dropped. Very sad. The mom kept looking for it all day. The dogs really didn't chew into it, but just stressed it out. Poor 'lil thing's heart must have been racing.
