I have always been a fan of Turnbull Manufacturing Company.
They make some incredible big-bore lever action rifles. But I believe they may have
"drank the kool-aid" during the most recent AR craze. This is quite possibly the ugliest rifle ever built
....and an absolute insult to the traditional/vintage firearms industry, as well as the AR industry.

I am a big fan of both traditional firearms as well as modern AR's.
However, there are just certain things you are never supposed to mix.....
and I believe case-hardened AR's with wood furniture fall into that category.

That is ugly!!

I don't know that AR is unigue and pretty to me. My pick would be the Remington Model 600 .350 Rem Mag. Blocky, short and just wierd looking. However it sure does knock the hogs down!

I always thought those Ruger M77s with the skeleton synthetic stock were about as ugly as it gets, but all the budget bolt actions anymore are pretty ugly.

Doug had a few of those ARs at his booth at the Tulsa gun show. They were different looking...

about as bad as those Mossberg "tactical" lever actions.

There's plenty of uglier guns than that out there. Pretty much anything Hi Point makes.

I think the Rem 600 is "utility" not ugly! It was made to meet a price point and so does not have any "extra cosmetic touches".

I would much rather have that than plenty of other guns.
It's not the prettiest thing but for a custom piece it definitely expresses

I actually think its not bad looking. I think it would have been better had they made it a free float hand guard to get rid of the ugly delta ring. Bring the wood all the way to the upper. Would have also looked better if they went with a low pro gas block and extended the wood out over it covering up the gas system. Add a 20 round mag with a case hardened finish (don't even know if that's possible). Would look good then.

I think it's actually kinda handsome, but I still have a hard time imagining doing with it as I would any other AR, which is to abuse it somewhat. The wood's too purty on this one to treat it like that.

I'll have to go with the Savage also.

Actually would have been nicer older school looking if they would have done an A2 upper and A2 front sight base.

Yeah....not a fan of the color case-hardened wood furnished AR. Ugliest though? Has to be any one of the .22 take-down black polymer "survival rifles." If they were the only women available, they'd make a man play for the other team.

That scope is the purdiest part of that set-up
