I really think that the radiant barrier is working as before we installed it the air conditioner was struggling. I believe the ceiling fans and the radiant barrier make a big difference. However I wish your comment on the mice was right as they have chewed the weather seal from under the front door and we are constantly catching them. I need to replace it with something else however I think they will just chew through again. Any ideas?????

I use Liquid Tom Cat rat bait in a chicken waterer that I put under my cabin. I have skirting around the bottom of mine so my dog can't get to it though. It works great for all rats and mice. I just have to remember to keep it full. When I hear one running around under my cabin I know it is empty.

I would just try to keep it outside so they die outside. I by mine at Sutherlands Lumber. A box of 8 packets is like $12 and each packet will make a quart. I use the quart size waterer since I live here. Depending on length between trips you can buy a gallon size one to put out so it will be some working while you are not there. If you put it out when you leave and then store it out of the dogs reach when you arrive it might be better for you (if you do not have the skirting). I have used it indoors just keep it under the sink, vanity or in closets out of my dogs reach.
