Definitely not my first, but the first I personally bought would be a Japanese made single shot .410 shotgun. Traded $10 and a six pack of lone star longnecks for it when I was in high school. Still use it from time to time.

The first one I bought was a Ruger Bearcat .22 revolver. Cost me $31.00 and change! I was 16 years old. I laid a $50 bill, that I worked and saved all summer to get, on the counter and told the man that I wanted the Ruger. He got it out, wrote out the bill of sale, rang it up and gave me my change. Before he handed me the pistol, he asked "You are 21 aren't you?" I said "Sure", and left in a hurry! LOL
I still have the Ruger and plan to give it to my grandson when he is old enough to handle it.

first gun that I ever saved up for a purchased ( well mom did the paperwork) was a mossberg 100atr in 30-06. I was 16 and had it a few months before my car needed a water pump and timing chain and away it went to a mechanic friend of mine.

Sacked groceries and picked cotton and bought a Remmy 552 semiauto 22 when I was 15. Still have it and keep adding more rabbits, squirrels to the kill count.

I can't remember either. I think it was a Marlin 30-30.
