Why not use base or crushed concrete ? I would think iron would be high per ton.

I would also compare the asphalt they take up off some of the highways. It makes a good road if you can find in it your area to keep trucking cost down.
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?

Some of the coal burning power plants have a by-product that makes great roads and is cheap, cheap. The one near me (Welch Power Plant) allows you to haul it your self if you can, like every thing else today hauling costs are what eat you up. My old grey matter will not allow me to bring up the name of the stuff at the present time but maybe someone else can follow thru with the name.
Old computer just runs slow, "FLEX BASE" Is the name.

I think you mean Fly Ash, which is sometimes used as a component int road base materials. I believe Flex Base is more of a generic term for differtent types of road base material.

I work at a coal fired power plant in thompsons. We have a company that hauls it off and sells bottom ash and fly ash. Its pretty cheap. I have used the bottom ash on roads, but its not great for a base in wetter areas. It is good if the road is crowned or raised, and is well established. In low or wet areas, you will lose the bottom ash in the mud after you keep running it over.
