Last year a buddy of mine let his son shoot 4 dove decoys out of tree. Only took three shots.

If i saw a duck perched on a high line, you are damn right i would shoot it. First i would take a picture tho, so I could show everyone and say "look at this stupid thing!"

This thread deserved to be Hi-Jacked before it turned serious. I don't think you were around for the ORIGINAL discussion concerning taking skillet shots at quail. That one was not good on SO many levels.

skillet shots on quail are the best. If you have a skeet choke sometimes you can sneak into position, line em up and get a limit on one shot. Now thats convienence

Do the Javelinas use the hi-line to get from one field to the next without having to go through the barbed wire? What is the limit on perched bald eagles?

That was sort of the concensus among the membership but those that did not agree, REALLY DID NOT AGREE!

I think it depends on why you hunt. I like the sport of it but i eat everything i shoot. So i take the Duck Commanders approach. He told me "I don't shoot birds that are swimming on the water I wait till they stop, it is easier to to shoot a bird that is not moving than moving."
Ha ha... that is great! I used to skillet shoot every chance I got. With dove I have toned it back a bit because dove are extremely stupid creatures. With ducks...You have to do a lot more work to get a duck to land in your spread (dekes, calling, scouting etc) so I never pass whackin' em when they are on the water. I did all that work and if a duck wants to make my life easier then I won't object. Then again I also have been known to jump a pond or 2 and some of ya'll find that isn't all that sporting either.

I am working on a mojo tree, which is electric, wind powered electric of course, which will shock the dove on it's branches when you press the button. I'm being proactive to the steel shot testing done in Brownwood. With the cost of steel shot my mojo tree will be the future of dove hunting. I have been sending T Boone emails but he won't respond, I might need to find another investor.
T boone is busy in stillwater!
