25 yards in the back yard but when on the range, nothing shorter than 40 yards. I shoot fingers and keeping with the distance improves my ability. Someday I'll have a backyard that will let me shoot over 25.

I usually shoot from 10 to 20 then back up to 30 and 40, with a few from 50. I set-up hoping to get to less than 40 when hunting, but if the conditions were right I'd go 40 or 50. But it'd have to be perfect conditions, ie no wind, broadside, etc.
Hunting is more to me than Antlers on the wall. It's more about the memories you make, and sharing those memories with friends, and family.

Self imposed 25 yards or less but I shoot cedar arrows from a longbow. I hunt from the ground so practice consists of 4 shooting positions standing, squatting, sitting in a portable chair and sitting cross legged on the ground. Favorite shot is 10 yards quartering away.

20-25 in the backyard. Up to 65 if I go to the range. I would feel comfortable shooting a deer at 40.
I am a proud United States Air Force NCO and I thank all of you for your support!!!
