saut some garlic in butter. 2 big cans crushed tomatoes. 2 small cans diced. Add rosemary, basil and sugar and a whole onion peeled. Let it simmer low for as long as you want. I like to do the garlic then put it on low in the crock pot and it's ready when you get home, plus the whole house smells good. You can add any type of meat if you want

Honey booboo is what I measure all uglyness to. For example: That's not just ugly, that's honey booboo ugly.

Sorry to disapoint (sp?), but mine uses store-bought, with a twist. This is all done over a pretty high heat, except the last part. I squeeze "meatballs" out of fresh (raw) Italian sausage and brown them really well in a bit of olive oil, and remove from pan. I then saute a chopped bell pepper, onion, and a few cloves of chopped garlic in the leavings from the sausage/olive oil. When the veggies are starting to brown around the edges, add the sausage back to the pan, pour on a can/jar of sauce and simmer for about an hour.

For a fast version of semi homemade sauce is to get any kind of store bought sauce, and add a half a jar of Pace Picante sauce to it. Then add as much fried and ground meat as you want to the sauce.
Nothing like a plate of Tex Mex spaghetti on a cold day.
