Just checked and it says Status Pending in Committee whatever
that means.

I'm certainly in favor of open carry. That would definitely make things more convenient, especially when traveling outside metropolitan areas... hiking... hunting... etc. Otherwise, like the instructor quoted in the story, I'll probably still favor the element of surprise.

To get these things passed you have to do more than just call your Rep. It's good to go down to Austin and testify. Let your voice be heard. If everyone on this forum were to do so then things would get passed much easier. You can call your Rep and tell him to support or sponsor a Bill and he can jump on board and make it seem all pretty but what they do behind the scenes is what really matters. Some will lobby to have the Bill squashed or lobby for others to vote it down. It's all a dirty game. http://www.house.state.tx.us/video-audio...ram=13031408420

My local rep is on the committee and I have spoken with him several times about his support of 2A issues- he claims to be a staunch supporter. I've emailed him about this, we shall see.

I would consider carrying if I didnt have to get a permit!! CCL was early registration..

I hope your guys get this thing thru, I somehow doubt that the liberals in our area who are scared of their own shadow will vote for it...Even though each of them probably carrys a weapon..DD
