Looking fun Bobby!

Here are some photos from Monday's trip (7/16/12). Three generations, everyone caught there very first blue cats and little Charlotte caught her very first fish! Lots of smiles, high fives, laughs, great times and a truck load of catfish at the end of the trip. Here are some of their "memories".

Adam and Erica fished with me on Lewisville Wednesday morning. They enjoyed some great summer time blue cat action. Erica got us off to a great start with a triple coming within 5 minutes of getting set up on our first spot. 33 blue cats made the trip back to Abilene for a West Texas Fish Fry! What a fun way to spend their 1st Anniversary!

Seems like the catfish just keep jumping in the boat. Didn't have quite as many jump in on Saturday morning, but the guys had a great time and keep coming back for more. Third trip this year for the fella in the middle and second this year for the other two.

7/22/12:
Sunday morning was a little slow. Got off to a late start due a couple of fellas sleeping in and forgetting their fishing license. The crew ended up with 24 in the box in about 4 hours of fishing.

Lake Lewisville Catfishing Report - 7/23/12

Shawn and his two sons from Midland wanted to do a little catfishing during their family vacation to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The morning started out great filling the bait box in two throws. They were there right on time and we made way to see what the morning would bring.

We got set up in the first area and it started out a bit slow. Took about 10 minutes to get our first fish. Then it all broke loose. We stayed there for 4 hours before the bite slowed down and we had to go looking for some more fish. The boys had a blast catch fish left and right. Dad was right in the middle of the action. They kept me pretty busy and took all I had to keep all the rods baited and in the water at the same time. They finished up the 5 hour trip with 56 blues in the box up to about 9 lbs. and a total of a little over 200 lbs of fish. 6 gallon bags of fresh catfish fillets made their way back west. Great times, great company, great fishing and memories that will last a lifetime.

Lake Lewisville Catfish Guide Service Photos - 7/26/12

Another great morning on Lake Lewisville. Dustin and Logan had a blast with some non-stop blue cat action. They finished the trip with 35 blue cats in box in about 4 hours of catching. Still have some time to fill the freezer with fresh catfish fillets right before hunting season goes into full swing.

Catfishing is great right now on Lewisville. The water is so hot the fish just keep jumping into the boat trying to get the best spot in the cooler next to the ice. The Raymond Family came out last week and filled the cooler with some nice blue cats, a few channel cats and put one nice trophy blue cat back in the water for some other lucky angler to catch some day.

Paul booked a half-day instructional blue cat trip with me on Lake Lewisville. He learned how to locate and catch catfish so he can fill the cooler in his own boat next time out. He's a pretty faster learner and did a great job filling the box on this trip.

Lake Lewisville Catfishing Report - 8/2/12

Daniel brought his wife and their 4 year old son Corey out all the way from Big Springs for a morning of catfishing with me on Lake Lewisville. This was little Corey's very first fishing trip. I always enjoy being able to watch a youngster catch his first fish and the pressure was on to be sure he would get hooked up. We got set up on our first spot and I made quick work of getting all of the rods in the water. I was getting a bit worried because we weren't getting bit. Then once we hit the 5 minute mark, rods began to go down and the little fella got his turn in the spot light. It was an exciting moment for the everyone on board. Mom and Dad were quite proud of him. We took a few minutes to get some photos and probably missed several fish in the mean time. If you look close, the rod in the back ground of the first photo is hooked up. I got the rods baited up and back in the water. We never had to move. That first setup paid off with 5 hours of non-stop fish catching action for everyone. They finished out morning with 50 blues and 4 channel cats in the box. More happy customers from west Texas!

August was a hectic month between fishing, family vacation, getting the kiddos back to school, coaching softball, coaching baseball and a lot of contract design work as well.

As for the fishing, we hit the ball out of the park, got on base a few times and grounded out. Trying to get caught up on posting photos. Plenty of dates open for the rest of September and October.

Summer is gone, Fall is nearly over and trophy blue cat season is right around the corner. We are still catching plenty of eating size fish. Winter is the time to book a trip if you want to land a BIG blue cat. Customers on Saturday caught 34 blues and one hybrid (2 had to leave early and didn't make the tailgate photo). I also have gift certificates for sale as well for guided catfishing trips on either Lake Lewisville of Grapevine.

Fishing was a bit tough right before the front hit on Sunday. Customers still caught some nice box fish and had a great time. I do have gift certificates for sale as well. Still plenty of time to purchase them before Christmas.

It's BIG fish time! I still have some openings for winter time trophy blue cat trips. Or if you want eating size fish we can do that too.

Proof is in the photos. Customers caught and released some nice trophy fish and brought back plenty of eating size blue cats for the freezer. Still have a few weekend dates open for January and February.

What is an average fishing day like for eating fish? How many?
and for trophy fish? or a mix of the two? Do you do anything mid or late week non weekend

We typically average around 25 to 30 eating size fish per trip (some times more and some times less). As for trophy fish, a lot just depends on how well they are grouped up and willing to bite. Most of my customers like to target both. We'll put out some bigger baits in hopes of landing a trophy or two and enough smaller baits to keep the action steady on eating size fish. My consulting work has me busy M-F right now and I'm only guiding weekend trips at this time.

I highly recommend going out with Bobby. I booked a trip after a friend had two good trips and it was a good time with plenty of fish caught (around 45 I believe) on a hot day.

Sunday was a beautiful morning to be on the lake. Bite started out slow, but finished on a good note. Here are a couple of the bigger fish caught and released. 20 others made it to the tailgate for a pre-super bowl gathering.

I still have March 11-14 open for Spring Break. Bring the kiddos out, stretch their arms, put some smiles on their faces and fill the freezer with some tasty catfish fillets!

Customer landed the biggest fish of his life today. The monster flathead weighed 57 lbs. 12 oz. and was released after a few photos.

Another big flathead caught yesterday. This one weighed 42 lbs. and was released for some lucky angler to catch again some day.
