looks clean to me, I love simplicity! Dont understand the bolt knobs goofy paint etc. it all just says look at me!
It's called CUSTOMIZING and PERSONALIZED. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. I have some that are factory and I have some that are personalized. I like them to be MINE and not like all of the other millions of like guns.

You will notice my 870 is scratched and the finish is worn off the stock in places and all that does is give it character and it has a ton of tales to tell. That gun has killed alot of deer, turkeys, pheasant and even a bear and i wouldnt trade it for anything!!

It's laying on a deer not a hog It's also day time. Most people use the same rifle for deer and hogs, and most don't feel like de-accessorizing their rifles to suit each hunt. I would never admit to accessorizing... is that like a purse? Must not be confident in your sexuality, or you don't know the definition of accessory Im plenty comphy married and straight. yalls is just like a bunch of little girls accessorizing your purses.

Thanks Novasot!! That coyote was in the wrong place while we were bird hunting. Yes that is snow, its a blast pheasant hunting in the snow. Nothing as exciting as stomping on a snow covered pile of grass and having a big ol rooster come out at your feet.My buddy actually had one hit him in the face on the way out of his hiding spot.

Ok, just a couple of 'em though. Dad's old .30-06 I ended up swapping out the stock and adding a scope. The old 'dog killer. .308 Win. built on an old 700 LA. Probably going to go in a different direction with this one. Maybe updated stock and .280 Rem. rebarrel? Youngest son's Mod. 7 7mm-08 Rem.

I hunted them suckers in dalhart one time and had a blast.... just a bit of snow and a hole lot of cold....bet that would be awsome with that much snow

700 .270 Win. in a Boyd's laminate. I really like this one. One of my overall favorites, Model 722 in .300 Savage. Outstanding accuracy.

And I promise the scope ain't crooked. Very nice gun JDK. I've been wanting to invest in a good stock like that for my XHR. What caliber is that?

It is 223. (and thanks for the compliment). It was a special run VTR that used a 26" barrel instead of the standard 20", and did not use an integral muzzle break either.
It has a slow twist though (the business that sold me the gun incorrectly represented the gun's info as though it had the same twist rate as the rest of the VTRs). It will shoot 1/2 MOA, but only with the smaller bullets (55 and under). Eventually I think I will rebarrel it to a 1:7, 8, or 9 twist so I can shoot the 75s and stretch it out further.

Yeah yeah bad picture and optical illusion with the profile of the barrel. It is straight as can be. I know because I spent an hour getting it that way!
