I wanted to make a large knife this weekend, I have a customer who wants a 18 inch knife like this one, all I had laying around was 13 inches of 1075 so I had to try it and see. Long knives are harder to make no doubt anyway here it it.

13" total
8 3/4" blade of 1075 carbon steel at 1/4" stock thickness 2/3ds full flat grind sharpened at 25 degrees for heavy use, it will shave hair at that. This one has and edge quench heat treatment. Blade is finished with 220g sand paper and hard wheel with emery compound.
handle is orange and black g-10.

You sure don't want to drop that on your foot if you're wearing flip flops.. rofl

I made a big knife for a G.I. in Iraq several years ago, his mom wanted to buy one. As an ex G.I. myself there was no way I was going to charge her for it.

Nice knife bro, I like it.

Curious but can that be taken outside of one's house or business legally?

not sure you would have to read and interpret the law. Here is a good link

You can probably just stick it in a Win 94 scabbard and call it good.

I'm going to make a leather sheath for it, maybe tomorrow.

Me nothing, but there are people out there who use them for bushcraft and some hunting activities, and I support any outdoor activity and knife needs.
