[quote=John Kidd4]Deals are out there. Just have to do your homework to find them. My thought here..Why does the consumer have to go out and search for these hunts...why aren't these outfitters putting these hunts up for all to see..it seems it would only be a good business practice and free advertising.
" I don't hunt turkeys because I want to, I hunt turkeys because I have to."

Maybe because they aren't all "Outfitters". Some, you still have to knock on a door or two.

There are probably as many definitions for "Outfitter" as there are "Hunter". 95% of our clients want self or semi guided hunts. So, that is what we offer. We show you the property , give advice, and get out of your way. You are welcome to use our stands, blinds, feeders. etc. or set up your own. I will scout other properties as you hunt to help provide you a great hunt. I have used THF for 3 years with very little response. Clients from DFW say it takes 6.5 hours to get here. Maybe that is just too far for most. We ask $500 for a 2 bird 2 day hunt, and $650 for a 3 day hunt. That includes the lodge . There are 2 complete kitchens, 4 bathrooms, and BBQ grill for you to cook. There is a great restaurant 4 miles away. Deer hunts are $2800 for 6 night/5 day hunts. In Kansas, you will have to apply for a permit in April through KDWPT.com. Could really use turkey hunters in May, and deer hunters this fall. I like to visit. cell 620-960-3894 Thanks for letting me share. Steve

we have a ton of turkeys this year and i would be happy to take someone out for a hunt at $400 per hunter for a weekend turkey hunt for up to two birds. we are south zone
but in full disclosure, I dont really know much about calling the turkeys or guiding for them. I typically have only guided WT or exotic hunts on my place. for turkeys in spring, if i just sit near the pond long enough, they usually will come in to drink and strut... so would be best if you knew something about calling turkeys.
had two toms strutting about 10 yds from me in the blind 2 weeks ago. they were with 15 hens and jakes. i rarely shoot the turkey as i am normally hunting for wt or exotics.
Stuff my dad said in the deer blind
"I can dive deeper and come up drier" "did you do that?"

If that is per person that is expensive I respect your opinion but I will challenge you to find a cheaper 2 day/ 2 night turkey hunt in true SOUTH TEXAS. You get what you pay for bud

I have some hunt outside of liberty hill. Lots of birds 450 per gun with three hunters. 400 per gun if four hunters. Friday to Sunday. Nice place to stay ,self guided. Who knows I might go cheaper. Only booking first and third weekend of season.
