Here's a link to the new Tundra. There's even a version named the 1794 Edition, which pays tribute to the ranch, founded in the year 1794, on which the Tundra plant is located in San Antonio.

I like the body more than previouse models, still dont like the grill. I will never own a truck that has a console shifter.

Glad to see they are sticking with their same 5.7, wish chevy had kept theirs.

Yeah, me too. I got nearly 350K miles out of the Chevy I owned with the "350".

UGLY!! Way too much chrome and silver up front. Also, I like how they are copying the F150.

I like it, except for the grill. I drive a 2008 now, 100K trouble-free miles so far. Plan to drive it to 250K.

I hope they keep the best of the old one (Engine, drivetrain) and improve the weaknesses. And, I hope they finally offer the big cab with a 6.5' bed.

LOVE it! Seems like it look all the style ques from the F150 and current Tundra. I'm not a big fan of the mega-cab, I hope with this model, the Double Cab gets a factory sunroof and will let the rear window slide like it used to and how the mega cab does.

I would look good in one of the Tundras.

Might try one if and when my Titan wears out.

I've got a red 2007 with 95000 miles on it and all I've done is replace the tires (at 70k) and oil, filters, and wipers. Great vehicle.

I really like the newer F150s, but this seems to be a sticking point with me. Just might stay with the Chevy, but don't like the lifter engine. Like the Tundra but I here gas mileage is horrible.

I have a 04 Titan, leveled with Grapplers and nice wheels. 145k on it. Great truck. I do not like the look of the Tundras. The only way they look cool is lifted with rims and AT's. This front end sucks. I bet the truck is a damn good truck but that look is clunky and not appealing at all.

New truck for me would be a Super Duty or Sierra.

Have always liked the Tundra, they cam out right after I had bought my 2004 Titan. Really liked the Titan, but traded for a FJ Cruiser.

I think the new Tundra is sharp looking with a great looking interior. Not bad for a Texas built truck!

Tundras are great trucks, they are overbuilt and will run forever with few repairs. But with that said, Toyota really needed to do something with the motors being offered to provide better fuel mileage. Everybody else is doing that, Ford with the Eco Boost, Dodge with their new motor, and here the Tundra debuts a new model with the same old 5.7L gas guzzler engine. I had a 2007 and now have a 2010 Tundra, you can drive them as hard as you want and they just brush off the abuse, but dam Toyota......the fuel mileage does suck big time! It would definitely make me consider a different truck at my next purchase as $3.30- $3.50 a gallon gas seems like its gonna be the norm.

I drove a 2wd tundra with the v-6 as a work truck before the changed to the new bigger body style. Driving like normal i got 15-16 in it. I babied it and could barely break 18. I could get 18 out of my 1/2 ton chevy with a 350 in it at the time.

Mine is a Crewmax 4x4 and with no weight in the bed and not towing anything the best I have ever gotten on a road trip with Texas Interstate speed limits is like 16. Usually driving it the way I do like going to the lease running 75-80 I get 14.8. I towed my 26' CC offshore boat with twin 200 Yamahas from Freeport to Port O'Connor and got 5 MPG! Boat was loaded with 210 gallons of fuel and weighed in right at 8500-9000 lbs and its pretty tall with the T-Top and Console, plus I was driving into a pretty good head wind. The thing will pull a house off the foundation but dammm it sucks the fuel!!!!

I've moved to the country from the city, where I used my 2007 Tundra for commuting back and forth to work. When new, I got just under 20 mpg on the road and about 17 on my commute (which was in light traffic at an avg speed of about 45 to 50). Now I'm close to the end of life of the platinum plugs (100,000 miles) and mileage has slipped by about 2 mpg. I'm wondering if the new plugs will bring me back to the higher mileage I had.

I drove sports cars for years and then went to a BMW 5 Series. Loved that BMW, but had to finally sell it when we bought a small ranch. So..I went truck hunting. I drove them all. The brakes on the 07 Ford made me wonder if I could get the darn thing to stop. Of course you have to consider that I had just gotten out of a BMW, which has unbelievable brakes. But the Chevy brakes were pretty good, but the interior was not even in the same league as the Toyota, which has BMW level brakes. I drove the Dodge, but I never gave it much of a look. I'm no fan of Dodge. So I, a first time truck buyer at the ripe old age of about 60, chose a Toyota after doing my own driving comparisons. The Nissan, at that time, had some serious maintenance problems (per Consumer Report), so it was never even considered.

In summary, if this present truck EVER wears out, I'll probably buy another Tundra. It still smells new. Amazing.

The Ford guys buy Ford. The Chevy guys buy Chevy. The Dodge guy...well you get the point. I had no brand loyalty and just went for what I thought was the best truck for my needs. If I needed a serious work truck, it would be the Ford 250 or 350.

If you want good gas mileage, dont drive a fullsize truck. Or any pickup for that matter. Be realistic.

I dont care what anyone says or what Im driving or pulling I want to get good mpgs for what it is.

In '04 I tried to sell my dad on a 2wd 6-speed cummins but he wouldnt budge, he wanted a duramax(2wd crew cab 2500). He gets max 20 empty on the highway and 13-14 with the boat 12-14 with the flatbed depending on what is on it and 10 with the travel trailer.

My uncle bought a '04 dodge crew cab dually 2wd 6 speed. He gets 21 empty highway, 16 with the boat(same boat by the way) and gets 13 pullin his travel trailer which is bigger than ours.

I have driven Ford, Chevy, Ford and now drive a Tundra...

My last truck was a 1999 F-150 2WD extended cab with a 4.2L V6- 15-17mpg was the norm; I drove that truck for 8 years and it had 210,000 miles on it when I sold it and in all that time I had to replace 1 ignition coil & the heater core for a total of $600....thats preaty good for any truck!

My Tundra with a 5.7ltr V8 and 4X4...15-17mpg highway; so I gained 1.5ltrs of engine displacement with the same gas mileage!....so what are people complaining about?

Also I will honestly say the Tundra is much better built with better brakes, chasis and body structure.

Maintenance on the Tundra is next to nothing!

When I got 50,000mi on my Tundra I called the dealership to ask them about the service cost & interval for the fuel filter, Transmission fluid and filter, radiator fluid ....ECT and was suprised to hear-

"Sir the fuel filter is good for at least 100,000mi unless you get it contaminated with diesel or water....Also the rear end lube, trans fluid/filter, radiator fluid should all be good to 100,000mi or 5 years which ever comes first! You do need to have your brake fluid flushed and check the airfilter - Thats IT!

Thats bullchit and you know it. Having fished many a bass tournaments all over Texas and talking to the guys that have the same truck as me and some of the ones that have sold their Tundras and bought a F-150 w/ eco boost or even GM's they are getting significantly better mileage than they got in their Tundras. I know guys that are getting 13-15 towing their bass boats and not little ones, with an F-150 w/ Eco or GM (not the big motors). 8-10MPG is the norm towing a bass boat with a 4wd Tundra, and for gods sake Bass boats dont weigh anything and they are as streamlined as it gets. I wish I still had my 2001 Dodge 2500 4x4 with a Cummins and a 6spd standard that got 21-23 on the highway and 18 pulling a boat. The sad part is that the new diesels dont get that kind of mileage with the exception of a few that claim it, so buying a diesel is an even more costly measure with less return ,unless you must tow something heavy regularly. There were rumors of changes to the valves and direct injection fuel systems that might improve on the fuel consumption of the Tundras and they did nothing, its a big fail as far as I am concerned!
