How could I make a simple tranquilizer solution to put in the pneu-dart darts? I'm wanting an idea so I could catch some emus. Plus, it'd be cool to have. I don't have a clue on how to get the licenses needed to get the stuff from a vet. But I've heard Valium, any ideas?

If you don't have a clue how to get it legally then you do not really need to be even trying to use it. Tranquilizer drugs and projectors are not "toys" nor or they "cool" to play with. Used improperly they can cause a serious injury or even death.

I agree with ranchman, How would you ever measure dosage by experimenting? Do you realize how many animals you would kill, or injure, trying to figure out the right dosage? Not worth it.

Next time you go to the hospital on a emergency tell the Doctor you are open to expermentation. I don't think so!

Call a good vet and let them help you.

Wouldnt be very smart to try to make your own tranquilizers the state has cracked down hard on this stuff. I have all the tranquilizer drugs that you would need to knock your emus down, I have prescriptions for all my drugs so you would get into any trouble, let me know if you need any help

Thanks,

We use a combo of two drugs one is a paralytic and the other puts them under. they are mixed by weight of what you are shooting. Plus you have a recovery drug that is needed. You will need a vet to purchase the medicine through as they are a controlled substance. If you are in the field you will likely need barbed dart and transmitter darts. Don't use on game animals unless you have been permitted through the TPWD.......
that would be my 2 cents I hope that helps
