What kind of fluting are you getting on the barrels?

Spiral on the 25/06 and straight spiral straight on the .220 swift or 22/250 depending on which way i go there.

Oh my goodness, that's a great looking barrel.I've gotta save this thread.

Don't save it I'm sending off a barrel either tomorrow or monday, and I'm already thinking my first love.. Remy 243 needs some new additions.... Its going to get expensive. I should of just bought the 240 wby in the classif. instead

Would have been cheaper, but you will be glad you did it!

Not an option on the Encore, but I was just looking at my remmy 243 the other day thinking she was getting a little banged up and thinking about upgrading stocks, Then i saw the Tan one on his site with the flutted bolt and stock.... I'm in trouble... I might actually have to start working during the day instead of hanging out on THF...

That why I jumped on it, I haven't found any one that would do an encore barrel in spiral, in fact never seen one, but he said he could. Thats also why he added 10 buck to it b/c of the lug.

Should be pretty sweet, You could send the stock to another Guy in California and have it painted and it should get back about the same time as the barrel.

I thought about it b/c I just have the regular blk one now. And truly the encore is so smiple the stock or forearm doesn't effect accurcy that much, not like unbedded regular long gun stock. I saw a wood thumbhole that i like, just don't know how well the paint will take to wood.

Prolly no good on wood, but you have seen the stock I had painted by CAS on my daughter's rifle, I am sure he could do a good job on the encore

Thanks Scott, nice site but I don't know if $115 on an encore plastic stock would be worth it. My remmy needs one but that will have to be after March.

Maybe right, just an idea, I hated to pay it for my daughteer's but didnt want to pay for a mcmillan until she could get into a regular stock instead of a youth, and couldnt stand the solid black.

I'm not real big on just blk either, but it holds up a lot better then wood. I'm pretty ruff on guns. It a thought, I might get it done.

Not sure which one it will be yet. Either the Model 70 270 WSM with 135 SMK's, I'll put a new picture up tonight with the Millett LRS-1 scope on it instead of the Leupold that's on it in this picture

shooting these groups at 100

The remmy 700 30-06 with 150 NBT's and Leupold 3-9x50

or the remmy 700 300 RUM with 180 NBT's and Leupold 4.5-14x50
