Yep, tons.

I know Third Coast Outfitters out of Bay City run guided conservation hunts up in NE Arkansas. Too far for me down here but they are always covered in snows up there during conservation.

If it lines up prior to my season starting I would love to go. Once work starts I'm on a dead run until Thanksgiving.

*I'm looking for someone that plans to hunt 2-3 times per week next season. I have a lease up by the Red River but it wont support that much pressure, just once per week. If you are in a similar situation and want to trade hunts, PM me.

I would be looking North. There are still some geese towards the coast and saw around 2000 in Waller on Monday, but your going to have a better chance of having a good hunt in Arkansas.
I'll still do 1 or 2 hunts here but its free.

Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden.
Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.

This!

I talked to a buddy of mine that coaches at Tech in Lubbock. He said the geese are still real spotty. and with Stanfields and a few others cancelling hunts, Id head North myself. Ive hunted a bunch out West, and from what I saw a few weeks back, it sucks right now out there!

Good idea though Cody. Ill pick up your guide trips on Fork though!

There was a pretty good article about the degradation of the snow goose population and the conservation hunting in Texas in the Texas Fish and Game this month, pretty good read if you get that magazine.

Looking like NE Arkansas is where its best

Peak migration is Feb 15-Mar 5

So the 25-27 would be a pretty salty hunt by the books

Quick return calls from the following from NE Arkansas

Adam - Snow Goose madness
250 w lodging

Brian - Goose smackers
275 w lodging & food

John - Snow pros
200 w lodging

I really wish a THF goose guide would chime in with suggestions/recommendations. I know if we could keep it in Texas we would gather a larger group

Not yet, I'm worried the birds may be headed north in their migration by Feb 25-28..

I'm on a group lease here, have land in brookshire, el campo, eagle lake, and garwood. Haven't killed more than 15 geese on a hunt in the last 2.5 weeks. Tough sledding out there.

They blanked on the opener, 6 yesterday. Hope the birds shift around some so I can get a crack at em this weekend.

I'll tell you this, nothing is flying north today. The headwind is insane.
