About 10 years ago I was dating a girl in med-school and we had about 50 head of churros and jacob sheep. A friend of hers had an idea to work on the polycerate (4 horn gene) and get hair sheep with the 4 horn gene. If you could have any color 4 horn hair sheep (taxidermist hate wooled animals), what would it be? For instance, here are some examples? JACOB SHEEP NAVAJO CHURRO SHEEP POLYCERATE HAIR SHEEP I personally have 3 goals. 1. Produce as many 4 horn ram lambs as possible. Since at least half of all of them will have 2 horns. 2. Produce a mouflon saddle patch. 3. Get barbados blackbelly colors. Texas dall colors, and Hawaiian black colors, with no wool, no fat tail, and no throat mane.

What do you think?
Taxidermist hate wooled sheep, so the goal is to have zero wool, keep the four horns and produce an attractive animal.
I personally don't like the spotted ones.

I gotta say....that Navajo Churro is a handsome sheep. I've never been a huge fan of 4-horn varieties...but that ram looks nice.

I just don't like the spotted ones.
I had a photo of a mouflon colored 4 horn, he was beautiful. But I can't find him.
Going to use Mouflons, churros (because I don't want spots), wiltshire horns and damara (because I don't want manes) and bighorns because I want mass and short tails.

Youngblood,
That's right. And I'll run a spotted line as well, just not as big of a fan.

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.
