a Winchester Model 70 Featherweight Custom High Grade in 25.06 caliber. Going to put some Talley Lightweights on it and a Leupold VX-6 2-12x42mm scope with an Illuminated #4 German Reticle.

Thanks for the comments guys. Looking forward to getting the scope put on and going to the range. Can't wait to take it down to the Texas Hill Country and taking a buck and doe with my new rifle. I have been hunting for over thirty years with a hand me down rifle. Finally buying my first at 53 years of age.

I treated myself to one of the standard Model 70 Featherweights in that same caliber just before Christmas and love it. The jeweled trigger is as smooth as a baby's butt.

To answer a few questions, no I don't want to sell it, are you kidding me??? And yes the gun was made at the plant in South Carolina and the fit and finish is superb. I paid more for this "Custom High Grade" gun than a standard Featherweight. It was much less than the Cabelas 50th Anniversary Model 70s and the JOC Tribute guns which were over done and over priced IMO. This rifle is just what I have been looking for.

Congrats on a fine rifle. If it is anything like the ones I have shot from the FN plant it will be a very good shooter.
