Got almost the same exact set-up 100 yards from my house in the city park, but no feeder. They just dump a bag of corn out near the center. Seen abot 50 deer feeding under the net at a time. Never seen em drop it. They do that in the middle of the night. A&M Kingsville is running a study. Tagged a ton of deer last year, and now I think they hauled a bunch of em off. A lot of these deer are hand fed by the little old ladies around here and are not the best candidates for relocation. The whole study is stupid. City is paying $90k to A&M to find out something I could have told them for free. Yes, we are grossly over-populated with deer, and yes, the same deer stay here year round. They are fed pets. Why would they move off? Quite a few years back I leased a place here in Bandera that was owned by some people that lived in the Dominion near San Abtonio. They gave me some paper work that you had to fill out to get deer that they were going to trap there. It wasn't worth the trouble and headaches.
