I just got the Savage 111FCXP3 in 270 from Cabelas and love it. They even matched the BassPro price which I was happy about since I had Cabelas gift cards!

I went to Cabelas today and their selection of left handed rifles was very minimal and above my budget. The guy behind the counter gave me a card with the number for their "special Orders" guy.

I think Savages are nice shooters and the .270 is a great round for here in Texas

Glad to hear it Noob! I think you'll really like that rifle! Good luck to you this season!

I won a New England Firearms 25-06 break barrel - Handi Rifle I think - (worth about $200) and put a nice scope on it. I'm left handed and have no problems with this gun. And I'm not worried about hurting it since it sits on the front of the 4 wheeler most of the time.
