Lots of deer, just not lots of horn on the deer in Coke County.

Coke county= large numbers, but not lots of mature bucks. Lots of neighbors seem to shoot whatever in NE corner of the county. Last year opening day I watched / walked 14 deer, but heard 15 shots go off on surrounding properties! This year buck look better on camera, but none are old. We have one that may be a 4.5 YO 10 point, all others are young. I hope the neighbors let them walk like we have and will. Going next weekend, can't wait to make the 715 mile drive!

Heres a few from south of Bronte. I killed the one in the first pic in bow season. The camera adds about 20 inches !! He wasn't anything special These are pretty typical of the area and some of the better ones as we'll.
