No, I just want smart alecs like you to have something to comment on.

Now I see why you have been checked 5 times

So it is ok for you to make a smart a_ _ comment, but no room for a smart a_ _ comeback?

What is a GW's job? Is it to watch your land or protect game and uphold the law? Maybe by asking him to "keep an eye out on your land" you put him off a bit and he decided to do just that. Kinda like someone in my line of work telling me to do my job. I'd be put off a bit if some new guy came in and not knowing me to ask me to do my job when he is just a "customer" of my services and knows nothing of my track record.

Funny, I've been checked on numerous occasions and in multiple states, maybe because I hunt a lot of public land. Even had them board our vessel once when we were fishing offshore.

Fishing is a completely different story! I have been checked more than once in a day fishing! Never had a problem with wardens, Im a law abiding citizen, just dont need them around my place far as Im concerned they can go catch someone doing something wrong till I need there services.

We invite them to our place and make it known they are welcome anytime they want to come by. I like them in the area and like them on the lease. We keep his card posted on the shed wall and will call him if we are going to be out at night. We have a new GW this year and he went by to check the owner's place and the ranch foreman drove him over to our camp. There is a good chance he will be varmint hunting our place in the off season too.

We have had a good relationship with most the GW's that have been in our area and even when he is "just stopping by" he will check us, but typically only if we have something hanging.

I have no issue with it.

Its not that I dislike them, I have always treated them kindly and done what was asked of me with them. I just dont need or want anybody on our place that dont belong there. If we have need of one I will have no problem callin him up and unlocking the gate. We are not in an AR county. If your not trying to break the rules you wont.
