That is my experience too. I park my Jeep at my stand, usually after spreading 50 pounds of corn. I keep corn in my road feeder and every time I get a visual on a deer I give it a short blip. The deer just usually move close to cover and wait for me to go by. The other part is that we do not allow ANY firearm discharges from a vehicle. It took about 3 or 4 years (about one generation of deer) after we implemented this policy before it was very apparent that we were on the right track.

Good point. This may also point to why road hunting and poaching at night can reduce deer sightings for those hunting legally during the day.

It's just like everything else in hunting. It depends. But if you don't use them, they won't spook them.

Always better to walk in. I have noticed that they don't mind the Polaris rangers as much as the atv's.

I will tell you this for sure, the ranch manager on a place I hunted had a Arctic Cat side by side he used on the ranch every day. I would see a lot more deer each time that I went to the blind in his Cat than I would when I took my own ATV. Different sound and different look, even parked at the same spot. They got used to seeing the Cat every day and knew that it wouldn't bother them.
