so your saying you don't rememeber any of the hunts you go on?

is it that boring for you?

Thanks for the kind comment!
*sarcasm off*
Honestly if it was up to me I would prefer to go hunting at places which actually had my hunt last longer the 2 hours.

so go hunt someone else then. no one is twisting your arm making you shoot something.

for what you are paying to hunt in that put and take place there are hundreds of ranches that will give you a quality hunt that you will make memories on.

My dad looks for places with deals. Unfortunately that led my first Texas exotic hunt to be shooting axis deer out of a feed truck.

What if you have a family ranch that your 16 year old kid hunts at, do you make him pay to hunt there? What is the difference with this guys father taking him to a high fenced ranch so that they can enjoy that experience together? Most of you spend $1000's every year at the lease hoping to shoot a monster, but when Axis goes on a $3000 hunt he is suddenly spoiled? The kid makes good grades and his parents reward him for it, while making memories at the same time. This method is obviously working for them and I'm sure they expect that if he keeps the grades up he will be paying for his own hunts someday.

Yall are picking on a 16 year old kid on the internet...seriously.

The kid won't let it die, he feels the need to brag and show off to someone. Unfortunately, not many of us here seem to care about his daddy being rich and taking his son on canned hunts. Kid, if you want a "real" hunt have your dad mail me a check for $315k and I'll sell you a piece of land in west Texas that will challenge your hunting skills and you will actually appreciate the animal you kill.

Well hardy Har Har, can't I share the trophies I have harvested without people getting bonkers. Look, us up in the Northeast/Midwest don't have the luxury of 10,000 acres. You would be lucky to even get 200 at most. Put and take, breeding herds, whatever. We can't raise our own African Game up here unless if you think we like our gazelle/oryx meat chilled on the hoof. We make up for that with our superior capes on our Cervid species like Fallow and Sika Deer with rams and goats.

I would hardly consider places recognized by SCI as 'canned hunts'.

"Recognized by SCI".
Boy that should help the argument. lol!
Personally, i think SCI is for rich folks who can afford $10,000 canned hunts and safaris. I'm betting not many regular Joes making $50-75k per year are members.

Face it, you'll get no pat on the back from the majority of the hunting population...which are made up of mostly those "regular Joe" folks and don't have an appreciation for canned hunts.

Personally, I would go on a "canned hunt" if afforded the opportunity. But...
I would have a hard time bragging about it. I'd more proud of the 120" 8pt hangin on my wall that was a bow kill off a 90 acre LF place in heavily pressured NE Texas.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the time you and your dad are spending. I also appreciate the fact that you enjoy hunting. I hope you keep that up for life. Just understand that most of these guys are gonna give you hell if your bragging on canned hunt animals.

Except that those rich folks as you call them are fighting for your rights to hunt and preserving our wildlife. And yes, there are regular joes in SCI, it's just that your too busy stereotyping.

I'm not a rich or poor hunter but proud of all that I kill. I don't hunt for Boone and Crockett, Pope and Young or SCI, I couldn't care less about records.
