Found this online... "The ranch itself is two parcels, about 120 acres each, divided by a high fence. The reason for the division, as explained to me by the owner, is to prevent the very large animals, like Buffalo and Watusi, to wander into the steep west side of the property. The west side is too steep for tractors to venture into. Hence the division. The west side is where the pigs, goats and sheep were, and yes, it's very steep. You will get a workout. The terrain is very open with steep ravines. The east side is flatter with a bit more cover." http://www.ddranch.com/index.htm So....is it steep out there?

Oh and by the way you look very familiar... where are you from? ohio i'd assume Asuming can get you in trouble... looks like a kid I know from SA that would probably have the disposable income to do the hunts. I always think its weird when folks from the north get on the TEXAS hunting forum, thats why I didnt asume Ohio.

Don't worry about it! They're all nice deer and better than 99% of deer hunters will ever get. Your parents obviously have lots of money, and they don't care, I imagine, so why should you?

Well my dad wanted it to be cheaper and is blaming the owner. He said he should've paid around $3000. So much for my close by exotic and easily affordable whitetails now.

I don't get it because really this isn't the first time we've shot an animal that was not as big as expected. We paid 6k for a Thomsons that just barely made SCI that was supposedly 16-17 inches

I'm guessing you were never taught that constantly talking about money is a bit classless.
