Shovelers pintails and greenheads. All last year when it was warm shallow water. not sure if it had anything to do with it or not. Saw it in a Blue wing teal during teal season. Makes you sort of wonder when you are plucking the duck instead of skinning it.

I've only seen it in mallards but I don't kill many pintails and I have never cleaned a shoveler.

Big redfish and black drum sometimes have something that looks very similar. Never seen this in a duck though... If you look carefully 99 percent of the fish in the bay have worms likethat. Very rarely do I catch one without them. Even trout that are barely over the limit

Another reason for diver only limits...... hello Mr Ringneck and Mr Bluebill "A wide variety of birds, mammals and reptiles can contract Sarcocystis. Among waterfowl, dabbling ducks (mallard, pintail, shoveler, teal, black duck, gadwall and widgeon) are the species most commonly affected with the visible form of the disease. Diving ducks are only occasionally affected"
I'd ask him if he's pregnant. He missed a s__tload of periods. I'll take "things that look like a uterus" for $200 Alex.
