rut was either early & we missed part of it or will be weirdly late this year. chilly this morning, plus with the front...HOPE something snaps & more deer move during the DAY. even driving around, a lot of the activity i have seen was long after dark compared to a little bit before dark. even in the good browse (not much left) and green field areas.

I went this morning before work and saw some deer at the feeder before light. After light I watched two small bucks spar a little. The bigger bucks glands were soaked. I'm ready for this cold front.

didn't see a single deer this morning. However the trail am pic over the past 2 weeks shows does an younger bucks finally back at the feeders, often times eating together. This is a sight for sore eyes, as we have only seen a handful of does over the past 3 weeks

Another terrible hunting weekend. Saw 8 doe and one small buck that was chasing. All the doe were tiny, the only shooter came out before shooting light.

Well I'm glad I came to work. I'll be able to go this eve and in the morn. Supposed to be even colder in the morning. I thought for sure they would be moving this morning. I had pigs all over my back yard this am.

We had 2 Hunters this past weekend. And for this first time this season it was a little slower than the norm. Still had rut activity in the morning and afternoon hunts but that was also down. Both successful hunts just limited activity

Rut in Coleman is over, the bucks are back in groups.

Need a couple of Claymores to clear out some Turkeys!

I think the frost the next couple of days will help more than the cold temps will. Evidently they have ample browse and forage back in the brush. The frost should kill almost all greenery and that should push them out during daylight to feeders and food plots. I'm hoping thats what happens

Slow this evening too. I'm hoping these killing frosts will eliminate what they are laying back in the brush and eating and make them hustle for something to eat.
